ABOUT BT
BT Telecom is a genuinely brazilian company that began its history from the dream of building broadcast equipments adequate to the new technologies, since the country had urgent needs of modern and automated transmitters.
BT's history began twelve years ago, with the project of a fully automated solid state transmitter, non-existant in the brazilian market, as a request from a broadcaster. Collecting all the necessary information, the first BT model was designed, a 1kW AM transmiter with a very reduced size.
Shortly afterwards, the new equipment took the interest of three other broadcasters, who then ordered 2,5kW transmitters. The development and mounting of the new products was done in a small room in Porto Alegre. Not long after that, the company "BT Telecomunicações" was born at a new site, now with a production line manufacturing 1kW, 2,5kW and 5kW transmitters.
As the company grew in stature and its product line increased, the main characteristic of BT was always maintained: special technology equipments, low consumption of electricity, and quality way above de other companies, being built always to satisfy the needs and requests of the broadcaster.
In 2006, with the constant growth of the company, BT moved to bigger and more modern facilities, and to celebrate that, a new line of transmitters was released, even more advanced and automated, that was quickly sold to the entire brazilian country.
Nowadays BT is very proud of its products, 1kW to 50kW transmitters with exclusive features like its unique telemetry system, that allow complete monitoring and configuration of the transmitter anywhere, annual calendary of power reduction, sigma-delta modulation, excelent finishing and high effiency, reducing greatly the expenses with electricity.
The year 2009 is a new era for BT. Other than the reestructuring of the BT brand, that included a change in the name, logo and website, BT Broadcast Transmitters will launch its FM transmitters, now in final stage of development, that will follow the quality pattern of the AM products. It is also the year that BT started to distribute its quality equipment to the whole Latin America.
